Pomegranate Health Systems provides solutions in adolescent psychiatric care. We offer several programs: residential treatment for mental and behavioral health disorders, emergency shelter care, a diagnostic assessment, and juvenile competency attainment for teens in the court system. We also have a 20-bed acute hospital for teens in crisis. Pomegranate treats teens age 12-17. The treatment approach is multi-disciplinary-under direction of an on-site psychiatrist, certified nurse practitioner, adolescent clinical and independent licensed social workers counselors, psychologists, and special education teachers.
Referrals come from doctors, pediatricians, hospital emergency rooms, crisis centers (Netcare Access), social work and mental health professionals, courts, schools, and counseling agencies.
We provide a secure environment 24-7 [year-round], with a full range of services (nursing care 24-7, CPST and youth leaders) including Summit Academy, an on-site school, tutors from Columbus Public Schools, gymnasium, courtyard, cafeteria-under licensed dietician, plus individual, group, and family counseling.
Pomegranate is licensed by the Ohio Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services, accredited by The Joint Commission on Hospital Accreditation, a member of OHA, the Ohio Hospital Association, and member of NAMI-the National Alliance on Mental Illness and MHA Mental Health America-Franklin County.
